Our first apartment

Welcome to our home!! We live in #9 which is sort of in the middle of our apartments. Easily recognized by the Tai pan fall wreath and scare crows, which I love. There are three pots outside the front door where we are attempting to grow daisies. I think we may have started a little too late, but they are green. . . . . . .I think that's a good sign.

When you walk through the front door, the first thing you see is our living room. . . . .and probably our puppy. (Daisy is in the bottom right corner) We bought that brown couch a few months before we got married. We got a killer deal on it and I was really excited. Sam's sister Jessie gave us the easy chair, which I also love. On the couch is a little teddy bear. Sam makes fun of me because he has twelve sweaters, one for every month of the year, and I change it on the first of every month. The end table was given to us by Sam's grandma Ann while the other furniture in the living room (2 book shelves and a TV stand) was generously given to us by a friend of my family, Brenda Ferries.
I have some wedding photo's hung up but, as you can see, I haven't decided on one for the middle right frame. On the left we have a copy of the proclamation to the world which we were given in the temple by our sealer. My school bags and books are what's cluttering the floor by the couch and book shelf. haha.

I love this picture of Jesus that we have hanging in the living room.

My brother, Beau gave us this clock.

This is a better picture of the arm chair that Jessie and Aaron gave us. My Rachel Ray magazines are on it, along with this cute little Halloween ghost decoration.

This is the TV and TV stand. We are watching Castle. . . . . .SO addicting.

To the side of the living room, there is a small (VERY SMALL) guest bathroom.

The bathroom is decorated in dark green and brown, which gave me an excuse to put some of my little frog figurines in it. Below is a picture of Sam and I at the Hawaii temple on our honeymoon.

If you walk through our living room, you will walk straight into our kitchen/dining area. Again, it's pretty small.

The table was given to us by Sam's grandma Ann. We don't have chairs yet (yes we're newly weds) so we eat on the couch. . . . .I guess you could say that the table is more for show at the moment. . . . .plus it's a handy place for us to set junk. On the wall behind the table is a bulletin board filled with pictures of us and our families. Also, the frog calendar to the left.

I insisted that everything be red in our kitchen, so we have a red toaster, red microwave, red blender, red plates, bowls, mixing bowls, crock pot, you name it.

The little green things in front of the families are forever plaque are a little family of frogs.

I finger painted the pictures on the fridge. . . . .Sam thinks I'm crazy. . . . .I think I'm just cool :)

Next, you go up the stairs.

Once you get up the stairs, the first thing you see is our master bathroom...which is more like a regular bathroom.

I love the colors. My mom gave me most of this stuff as a birthday present just before we got married. I added the seashell wreath, pictures, and a few other things. (It's usually not this clean. . . . but that's a secret.)

Next, is our room.
Our bed was made by one of Sam's friends, Chad Graham. I love it! It's super tall so it took me a little while to get used to climbing up onto it! (I'm only 5'2") We each have a night stand, and Sam's parents gave us a dresser, which you can't see in any of these pictures. The blue box is Daisies bed. . . .She sleeps with her bed pushed up right beside my side of the bed. . . .otherwise she cries ALL NIGHT LONG.

We have a few pictures hanging

Daisy likes to hide under the bed when she's been naughty :)

My closet is in the master bedroom....

Sam's is in the spare bedroom.

Okay so. . . . mine is a little bit bigger, but look how much more stuff I have to accomodate!! Clearly I needed the bigger space :)

Last . . . . .I am embarrassed to show you...a place that not many people have dared to go before. . . Drum roll please.....
The "junk room"

(and this is after a lot of straightening and organizing. Sad huh?)

Well, there you have it! Hope you enjoyed your tour, come back again soon!! :)

Visit to Las Vegas. . . . . .

Last Saturday, Mary (Sam's mom), Jake (Sam's brother), Sam, and I decided to drive up to vegas for the day. First stop: the Bellagio garden. It was beautiful! It was an autumn theme this time. Pumpkins, apples, corn, fall leaves, cornocopia, and fall colors everywhere. I think it was my favorite out of the ones I've seen.

They had this really neat arrangement of flowers
that looked like a painting-fooled me!

After the Bellagio, we went to get something to eat: which is why we come to vegas in the first place!! ha ha. We usually eat at the Cheesecake Factory, this time we decided to try something new. Sam's sister Katy recommended a place called Hash House. We were excited to try it because she said the portions were huge and the food was really good. . . . sounded like our kind of place. The Hash House is famous for their breakfast, and more specifically, for their hash dishes. I ordered bananna pecan french toast, which I thought sounded interesting. French toast is my favorite and they didn't have just plain regular french toast, so I decided to try it. Sam and Mary both got hashes. Sam's had salmon in it (yuck) along with eggs, patatoes, cream cheese, etc. Mary's had veggies, mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach, and patatoes. Jake ordered a burger....with mashed patatoes inside of it and two pattys! The portions were HUGE!! Jakes burger was much bigger than his mouth, Sam and Mary's hashes were served in skillets full with enough food to feed two at least, and although mine was probably the smallest meal, it was enough to fill me up completely! Each meal was presented very uniquely, which made it really fun. We found ourselves looking around to other tables to see what other peoples meals looked like. Not only was there a lot of food--it was delicious!! I loved my french toast. It came out with a carmelized bananna on top and sprinkeled with pecans and maple pecan syrup...Yum. I didn't try Sam's meal because I'm not a salmon fan but I did snag half of the biscut that came with his meal and it was delicious. I also tried some of Mary's hash and it was amazing too...the patatoes were the best. We left the Hash House stuffed and satisfied.

As if this wasn't enough, we stopped by a place called La Creperie to get desert: a warm crepe filled with strawberries, rasberries, blueberries, and some sort of fruit sauce. mmm.....

After all that food, it was time to walk it off a little at the Fashion Show Mall. I treated myself to a few things at The Body Shop and Sam bought himself a couple of shirts and Nike. After shopping for a while, we were tired and ready to go home!

We had a great trip. However, I have to admit, after a day in Vegas, I am always SO glad I'm going home to St. George. :)

Seashell wreath

I would never describe myself as a "crafty" or "artsy" person but, I love projects. (Just ask Sam, he knows!!!)  So, I was looking through a magazine (Women's Day I think) and I found my latest project; a sea shell wreath. I went to a craft store and purchased a foam wreath, two different sizes of ribbon, and a couple bags of assorted sea shells and star fish. first, I wrapped the foam wreath in thick ribbon. Then, I glued on sea shell after sea shell after sea shell after sea shell with my trusty pink hot glue gun. Last but not least, I used more hot glue and a few straight pins to attach the thinner ribbon onto the back of the wreath as a hanger.

It was really easy to make and I love how it turned out!!

When I finished, Sam helped me hang the wreath in our bathroom.
I want to make more!! :)

Sam and Natalie Fetzer: Est. June 11th 2011

After several failed attempts, an hour or so of training from best friend Jessica Stratford (Thank you Jess), and lots of procrastination, Here I finally am writing my first ever blog post. Sam and I have been married for about four months now. We live in a little apartment near Dixie State college (which is where we are both studying). Sam works at Young Electric Sign Company.  .  .  .  .and hates it. I work at a Karate/MMA studio called Ace Martial Arts.  .  .  .  .and love it. We have a little puppy.  .  .  .Daisy.

Here She is:

See?? Adorable. We are just a little bit obsessed with her. We named her Daisy because, not only are daisies my favorite, but they were also our wedding flower. Other then spoiling our puppy, Sam and I love to spend time together and with our families. We have so much fun together and have really enjoyed starting our newest adventure together: marriage.
